Microsoft Network (MSN) webpage posted Cassini Plunge video yesterday. I’ve watched the videos with great care and enthusiasms and felt right away to get share the files for my followers:
I am delighted to present here my Cassini file. Part of this presentation I collected earlier with important technical info. on Cassini. Together, combining the new with the old stuff Cassini mission is now over and you can enjoy here all in one sitting. The videos, and the related messages are from trusted source as usual. Enjoy The Demise of Cassini!
Cassini Launched October 15, 1997
Cassini Space probe ($3.2 billion Cassini mission launched in 1997 and arrived in Saturn system in 2004). The space probe used visual and IR mapping spectrometer. The missions operations have been extended through September 15, 2017, when the spacecraft ended its life with a dramatic plunge into Saturn’s atmosphere -see the exciting footage video below.)
♠What we came to know from Cassini?
♦SATURN’S RINGS

The main rings would be hundreds of millions of years old. Saturn’s main ring system is huge but razor-thin, measuring about 175,000 miles (280,000KM) across but just 33 feet (10meters) or so in the vertical direction. The rings are composed primarily of water ice, but they contain small amounts of rocky material contributed by micrometeoroid bombardment.
Using Cassini’s Cosmic Dust Analyzer instrument to measure just how frequently tiny particles cruise through the Saturn system, scientists found that a small amount of dusty material comes into contact with the rings. On average, just 10^-19g of dust per square centimeter zooms through space every second at a distance of five to 50 Saturn radii from the planet. A low rate of dust recruitment indicates Saturn’s rings are of 4.4 billion years old.

It has orbited the gas giant nearly 300times, making major discoveries on its moon.
It found hydrogen in Enceladus, and liquid methane seas on Titan.
Nasa expects to lose contact just above Saturn’s clouds before Cassini disintegrated.
One of Cassini’s major achievement is:

Cassini’s second most amazing Feats was taking a picture of Earth on July 19, 2013. This was the first time Humanity had received advance notice that their photo be taken from space.
